Cáer Ibormeith is the swan lady that made fall in love Óengus Mac Óg, the celtic God of Love. Aside from this tale there are not more references to her. It's a really misterious character. The full tale here: [link]
I read somewhere that the golden/silver chains are indicators of the otherworldy aspects of this women. But cynical me likes to consider them a metaphor of love, as how it's a chain even if it's made of gold.

He leído en alguna parte que las cadenas de oro/plata son indicadores del aspecto "etéreo" de las mujeres cisne. Pero a la cínica en mi le gusta verlo como una metáfora del amor, como aunque esté hecha de oro sigue siendo una cadena.
